GreenMaritime SUMMIT: HUB, NETWORK, POLICY RECOMMENATION
On 05.12.2023.the GreenMaritime SUMMIT: HUB, NETWORK, POLICY RECOMMENDATION event was held at the Bonavia Hotel in Rijeka.About 50 participants took part in the workshop itself, where successful pilot projects realized as part of the ZEVInnovation project and projects and initiatives of the University of Rijeka and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb were presented.Also, the participants took an active part in the quiz, through which they determined the key factors that contribute to innovation, knowledge, networking and promotion of zero emission vessels.
Finally, a panel discussion was held on the topic of policy recommendations for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in maritime transport, where, in addition to strengthening the regulatory framework and investments in vessels with zero emissions, the need to build an innovation ecosystem based on a strong connection between science and industry was highlighted. There was also a study visit to the Viktor Lenac shipyard. The event was held as part of the ZEVinnovation project, financed by EEA and Norway grants.
